Should I wait

So I have a(n) ex that I use to date and tbh I never stop liking him so he goes with another girl now and one day he txt me about getting back together but he wants to wait till next year cuz the girl he's with is a senior and she'll be gone and all the other trouble making seniors will be gone too so my question is should I wait for him or move on
