Stripping membranes work?

I had my membrane stripped with my second kid and it worked that night I went into labor.  I'm going to doc tomorrow to get my membrane stripped.  How likely do you think it will work again?  I'm only 1 1/2 cm dialated and 50% effaced but I believe I was the same with my last child as well when I got this done.

I had mine done on Friday and she is all the way down and I'm 3cm and 90% effaced....I'll be dammed that child is still freaking in there. 😭😭 all it did was make me a nervous wreck and super uncomfortable but I still don't have my baby. Good luck!!

I got mine stripped with my first and I was induced the day after. I'm pretty sure I would have went into labor anyways because I was having contractions the night before and when I got to the hospital the next morning. I'm 38 weeks on Tuesday and not dilated or thinning out. How far along are you? When did they decide to do the membrane stripping?

I'm getting mines stripped on Wednesday n I'll be 39 weeks exactly... I'm currently 1cm dilated n 50% effaced. I'm not sure how far u have to be for them to do it...
