When to introduce food?

I know breastfeed or formula six months but does that mean start introducing foods at seven months or at six?

We started offering things at 4mo, but he wasn't really interested until closer to 6mo when he developed enough dexterity to put things in his mouth by himself.

I've started to introduce rice and oat cereal and my dd is 4m old. It's only been a couple times a week so far so not doing it in a whole lot of a hurry. She's not too sure about it honestly. She's mostly like wtf is this. But she loves flavor. She tried to eat my dh garlic bread the other night by diving on him from my arms when I was prepared lol all cuz he gave her a tiny lick of it. She scarfed down an apple rice rusk cookie thing in about 5m then complained cuz it was gone lol. I don't think she'll be into food until I give her something with flavor to it.

Once your baby turns 6 months old. You can do it slightly sooner but the longer you hold off the better. As long as your baby can sit up straight and has good control of their body. Weaning is so so exciting! Start just once a day for the first week..you may find it just goes everywhere and they don't really get anything but don't worry the milk is most important right now. Then 2nd week introduce food twice a day then 3rd week 3 meals a day. Nothing huge or complicated. Maybe like a pureed carrot with a little drop of their milk in it :) baby led weaning is actually an amazing route to go down and if you look into it I recommend starting with avocado
