Going home FINALLY 🙂

Khayla • 20. First time mommy to Ava 🐘💜 due February 27th.
The day after giving birth to my beautiful little girl, I went to use the restroom and take a shower before shift change and vitals were due. Once I was out and dressed, my stomach was cramping really bad and I became fairly light headed. I went to lay down and my whole body shut down completely! My respiratory rate and fever dropped and I became unresponsive 😓before I knew it there was a team of doctors and nurses rushing over me to get me undressed and hooked up to monitors. I thought that was it for me but hearing my LO cry uncontrollably and unable to be soothed made me fight harder to be ok for her. We did skin to skin after them connecting my monitors and eventually I stabilized and she calmed down 😌💜. That day showed me just how amazing the bond between a mother and child is and the strength you can conquere when your child needs you! After a couple days in the hospital I think it's fair to say someone is happy to be leaving.
