Is 10 a little early to start your cycle?

I'm 24 now, and for years I thought I was a freak. I started before ALL of my female classmates.

There's a study going on showing some meat products (because of the injected hormones) make girls start their periods as early as 7 years old. I think you're probably fine now unless you have irregular periods now.

To me it's early but I know it can also depend on genetics. My nieces started their cycles early (ages 9-10), but their mother did too. I started around 13 but everyone is different!!

I started at 9 and my cousin started at 7.

I got mine right before I turned 11 and went into 6th grade. I was usually a year younger than most of the people in my grade so I was not the first to get my period but I was the youngest when I started. My mom and older sister got theirs when they were 9 so I never felt abnormal about being the youngest.
