So has anyone ever heard of ...

So ... Has anyone ever heard of an old wives tale, that you should keep a Mylar balloon from your baby shower.  An when that balloon hits the floor, you will go into labor.  ??? . 
I'm trying to see if this is sorta true.  
I had it happen with my son, but they stopped contractions due to me only being 35 weeks (but I also have an IC) 
Just want to see if anyone else had this happen or will try with this pregnancy.
