Do I wait the standard 3 months to tell my step kids (7&9) that I'm expecting?

Honestly my boyfriend told his daughter when I was 9weeks(she's 6) and I followed up by telling her that lots of things happen and I'm not really telling many people until I know the baby is healthy and even then, things still happen, and sometimes babies pass away.

Yes wait they are still little. God forbid , if anything happens , it's not something I would want to explain to children. I miscarried and was so happy I hadn't told my young brothers

I plan on waiting myself..come the day we do get pregnant.  Ive stressed over it a lot.. but i think it would be because his daughter is almost 15( i fear her reaction to begin with)..and his boys are 11 and 9.  They would run to their mother and she would then cause problems and drive my stress off the wwals, which i do not want or need more than what i already have to deal with.

I say do it when your heart tells you. We told our older girls 14, 9 and 5 when we were just about a month in, days after we found out. I wouldn't trade the happiness it has brought them for anything. :)

That's my struggle to be honest. I feel like they shouldn't be sheltered to know that sometimes things happen in life that are extremely heartbreaking.

I waited to tell my son ( who was 5 then) only bc once I told him, he told everyone he saw that "mommy has a baby in her belly" lol. We wanted to keep it to ourselves until we heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks.
