Iv been researching a lot on it and have been worried mainly because my menstrual cycle has NEVER been normal one month I could skip another month it could be a normal 28 day other times it could be 4-6 weeks in between periods. the longer it takes for my period to come the heavier it is sometimes it's so heavy and painful I have to change a tampon every 1 - 2 hours and they are the super absorbent but that's not all the time and the cramps that come with that type of cycle are unbearable. Other times its a normal flow. Then some months it's super light or on and off for the week. Sometimes it's really long other times its so short it's like iv had a period at all! I'm probable rambling a lot. I have tried looking online but they don't really give you much. I was just wondering if anyone with it can tell me there experience before I worry my self and get checked out for nothing. Also this is such a silly question but when you have pcos do you get the usually pms symptoms I know everyone's different but the usually constipation tiredness frustration eating everything in site sore boobs etc? Are your menstrual cramps painful do you get them at all? I'm sorry if this post offends anyone I just have so many questions they all seem really silly and I know you shouldn't compare your experiences to other people's but sometimes hearing them is the only way to make your self think there's something wrong or that something isn't

I have PCOS. Before I went on birth control my periods were long, very painful, and very heavy. Birth control helped a bit, made my periods lighter, shorter and not as painful. When I came off of birth control to TTC I didn't have a period for almost a year, I had to be put on meds to induce a period and then went on Clomid after that to make me ovulate.

not always. my doctor said I've probably had PCOS since I was 14/15 years old, I just got diagnosed with it last year at 22 amd up until I turned 21/22ish I never gained weight I was 108lbs and couldn't put on weight for anything. it all depends. it's a lot of testing and timing has to be right sometimes in order to get a correct PCOS diagnoses.

I just feel like something isn't right with my menstrual cycle so I'm looking into all possible reasons I did see my doctor about 6 months ago but they didn't want to know because I was still have periods whether they were every 4 weeks or even every 6 but iv heard this is no disrespect to anybody I just don't know how to put it that people with pcos put on weight or can't loose weight etc I don't have that problem I'm too small and putting on weight would be a dream so that's the only thing that keeps me at ease about most likely not having it! thank you for sharing your experience I know it's at touchy subject to people but one touchy subject could help another
