HEAVYYY FIRST PERIOD!!!

My little one is 8 weeks old and I stopped postpartum bleeding at 6 weeks had a week off and I think my first period has just started ... No pains though but a bloomin waterfall!!!! Is it normal to be so heavy!!!! There's just so much of it! Or maybe it's because I haven't had one for a year and forgot what they are like... But any advise or help much appreciated xx
