Former smokers, how did you quit?

I found out I was pregnant and that's the only motivation I needed lol. Cold turkey!

Cold turkey. The hardest part was breaking the habit of taking a smoke break at work, not reaching for a cigarette whole driving, not having one with my morning coffee, etc. Once my mind got over not having a cigarette for daily activities I was fine.
 I also work in health care and see on a daily basis what smoking long term does to you. It effects so much more than just heart and lungs  (if that isn't enough). It really comes down to if your LIFE is worth it.

Cold turkey once I found out I was pregnant. I had a few drags the next few days of my boyfriends cigs until I just got terrible morning sickness and the smell revolted me that made it alot easier. Been almost 7 months cig free and I still crave one everyday! I'm very proud of myself though

Before I was pregnant I was down to just 1 cigarette a day during the week and just a few in the weekend. I think that really helped when I finally quit because I was used to not smoking a lot. It was also only hard until morning sickness kicked in. I can't even imagine wanting to smoke now. Barf.

I quit 4 yrs ago Started with the medium strength patch You need to change your routine for example I would walk my dog and smoke so instead I would read my mail after getting it from the mailbox.. As the time passes you don't even think about it.. Good luck it's possible and it's not as hard as you think . Mind over matter !! I used to smoke a pack a day
