Antibiotics + the pill question!💊💊

I just started the pill a couple weeks ago and I'm starting antibiotics for my sinus infection, my doctor said it would stop my pill from working but since it's the frost month it wasn't gonna do anything anyway. Is this bad for me to go on antibiotics? Answer please!!!
