Boyfriends Calls me a hoe

I started dating this guy and I love him to death. We have a healthy relationship, no fights or anything and Ive had a crush on him for a long time. He calls me a hoe as a "joke" because I dated more than 10 guys before him. They were short relationships nothing serious. I get that he calls me a hoe as a joke but sometimes it hurts a lot and I actually cry about it when Im alone. I tell him it hurts too but I just dont think he understands...any advice?
