Beta Blocker while pregnant?

I take Propranolol when public speaking for work and tomorrow will be the first time I'm speaking since becoming pregnant. My doc said its fine but it's a class "C" medication and I'm a little uncomfortable because it slows my heart rate, and I'm assuming it slows baby's too. Anyone else take one during pregnancy?

I took Propanolol throughout my whole pregnancy due to high blood pressure and I have a healthy 6 month old baby girl. I had a lot of reservations myself but thankfully she came out without any problems. Don't stress about taking it. You will be fine 👍🏽😀

I took labetalol through my entire first pregnancy and this one so far too.  Class C doesn't necessarily mean bad, it just means there haven't been formal studies.  My doctor explained it's been prescribed safely for years it's just considered unethical to do medical testing on pregnant women. My daughter never had a low heart rate and this ones is always around 160 so no worries there either.

Yes. I take a beta blocker twice a day. I have been on them with my first 2 pregnancies and it never hurt anything. I was actually started on them due to pregnancy.

I was on propanolol before i got pregnant and my cardiologist switched my med to acebutolol because propanolol isn't safe during the 3rd trimester . Deff get a second opinion and get switched mama!
