Non permanent hair dye?!

Question

So my doctor said I can't dye my hair, nor bleach it  till 4 weeks after I enter the 2nd trimester??
She said I could do "non permanent hair dye"?! I don't even know what that is?? 
I imagine those Halloween hair paint spray thing?? Lol! Ugh I have horrible roots, since I'm a brunette and have a super light blonde color!!!!
What do I do?! I wanna listen to her but then again I've seen so many pregnant women dye their hair all throughout their pregnancies!! 
My doctor said it's not safe because of the "fumes" while in the process?! But what if you're well ventilated and have like one of those face masks on?

I work/ do hair every single day.. I am currently 34 weeks pregnant ... And I have continued to do my hair the whole time...  The chemicals in dye has changed over the years!! As long as your in a ventilated area.. And not " inhaling " it a lot... My doctor assured me it would be fine

Hair dye has been rated safe in pregnancy as long as you're in a ventilated area. Some people say hormones can effect how the color develops but that hasn't been my experience. Your dr means using a color rated demi or semi permanent, which is deposit-only--it will not lighten your hair.

It's not just the fumes, it also has something to do with the dye going into the scalp and your body absorbing it, and you and baby share EVERYTHING! 
And non permanent isn't the Nasty spry in stuff lol it's dye that washes out after one or more washes, like one I know of is called manic panic.

I asked my doctor and she said that it was safe as long as you weren't breathing in all the fumes.  She said she colored her hair through both of her pregnancies.

I definately still do mine and was told as long as it's a ventilated room no closing myself in and breathing it in is be perfectly fine after the 1st trimester

Demi permanent and semi permant aren't full permant im a hairdresser and don't work with color or any chemicals at all anymore not taking any risks not worth it just do haircuts

I was told after 13 weeks it's okay to dye hair, most people recommend highlights because they don't touch your scalp, I know plenty of people who dyed their hair or work in a salon their whole pregnancy and their babies came out perfect :) anything in the 1st trimester is a little tricky so as long as you are past that I say dye your hair!!! Just make sure you are In a well ventilated area. make urself feel good, it's good to feel good during pregnancy :)
