Natural miscarriage at 4w 4d - Need advice. ❤️
My husband and I found out we were pregnant on Valentine's, and just 4 short days later I started bleeding heavily. I continued to bleed heavily for two days, and then lightly for the next three. Did two rounds of blood work and was confirmed to have miscarried. So heartbreaking. 😔 We want to grow our family so badly and are ready to try again but everything I'm reading online is conflicting with my OBs advice.
My miscarriage was complete this past Monday morning. There was no pain at all. Zero cramps or back pain. And the bleeding stopped completely (on its own) after 5 days. We are ready to start trying again immediately but the nurse who called to confirm my miscarriage, stated that my doctor's "standard advice is to wait 3 cycles." She said I could be a different case, but because my doctor doesn't have an opening to see me for at least three weeks, I'm just in limbo until then. 😑
We had sex last night (unprotected--we haven't used protection in 6 months, since we're trying to concieve) and it didn't hurt. And I barely spotted after, which I read is normal.
Because we miscarried so early into the pregnancy and it was such a fast process, I feel like waiting 3 months is waiting forever. If I hadn't been tracking and testing, I might not have even known I was pregnant and just thought my period was late. That's how similar the miscarriage was to a regular cycle of mine. I am 29 and my husband is 32. And we are so ready for this.
All my research through medical websites and forums say that there isn't any reason to wait and that we should start trying again as soon as we feel ready... Thoughts? Opinions?
