I don't know if I'm going into labor :(

I'm 38 weeks today I'm having a lot of cramps some of them are lasting out of long time and it's extremely painful. I do need to recruit new check up this week because my doctor is out of town so I don't know how I'm doing:( Should I go to the hospital?
