What does it mean if you failed and you were already fasting??? 😡

I passed... out. They couldn't even finish the test and said it wasn't worth trying again since I habitually have low blood sugar. That was 7 years ago prego with my first... We will see about this one in a few weeks!

Fasting doesn't help regulate your sugar, if you do have GD it causes your body to over regulate. It's confusing cause some docs require fasting for the 1 hr test and some don't but recommend no carbs or sugar before the test to get an idea of how sugar is processed during a typical non heavy meal. Depending how high your numbers are for the 1 hr with fasting (like 10 pts over) you'll probably pass the 3 hr. During the 3 hr your body has more time to control how the sugar processes.
