Feeding solid food?

Question

Is anyone feeding their October baby solids? If so, what food did you start with? How did you know to start? Suggestions?

My baby girl is 4.5mths (10.14) and I've been feeding her apples, bananas and sweet potatoes! I do the same food for a week only once a day in the afternoon like lunch time then go to another in the next week and she LOVES sweet potatoes 😊

I just started giving my lo solids being lactose intolerance, I have to watch what I buy for him or I make my own, he had carrot mash and lamb hotpot with a lactose free yogurt and his bottle of milk and I must say he's going much better on solids than the milk, the milk only seemed to fill him up so much and was constantly hungry, he also likes the fruit purees they're a great way to start a baby with solids. My health visitor kept telling me he needs to wait till he 6 months but that's ages away yet and my lo is looking and acting like he's always hungry on just milk, so solids is best I think xx

We are starting slowly  and I'm trying to make all of our food. (Well see how long I can manage) so far we have had: 
Rice cereal 
Oatmeal 
Peas <-- she LOVED these

Next up (in this order) were going to do: 
Sweet potato
Avocado 
Banana 
Apple 
Pear

Typically I do cereal in the morning fruits and veggies/fruit at night with a serving size of 2Tbs. Check out the book "The Best Homemade Baby Food On The Planet" along with great recipes it has tons of info on starting solids and feeding.

I didn't start solid food yet, as he cannot hold up his head steady, and when he does so u can start feeding your baby.
However, I recommend you to ask his dr. First.

No food yet. She has had random things fed to her by her older brother and cousins. I will start with avocado sometime between 6&7 months. Maybe longer

My little girl is now 4months old she has been having cereal since she was 3 months I started with baby rice and already she is now having baby porridge for breakfast all different flavours a bottle any lunch and then has a jar or food and a pudding for tea then a bottle at bed time she was born 3 weeks early at 6pounds 1oz and now us a healthy happy 16pounds 1oZ

My daughter Emery has been eating rice cereal for about 3 weeks and a week ago I introduced bananas and now she's trying carrots! As you can tell in the second picture she wasn't a huge fan of carrots 😂
Also I had a question for everyone in regards to feeding; Emery leans forward every time she eats and leans all the way down. Is this normal or is she being weird? 😬😂

I will say solids massivly helped my girls poop consistancy she never had with formula.

She also stopped waking up durring the night.

Pumpkin potatoe and spinach I make a big batch and freeze in muffin tray size according to what he eats and then snap lock them he's been on that since 4 months old now at 5 months he's got custard and banana added and apples and other fruits

Doctor gave the ok. At 4 months we started rice cereal then oatmeal to get her used to eating with a spoon. This week we started green beans and her expressions were so funny! She was only eating the green beans with her oatmeal, but today she has done better and eating the green beans without anything:)♥
