So, the crib we've been using for our daughter is used from my sister. It's a great crib and the mattress, although still very firm and in good condition, has now been through 4 babies including my daughter. Today at a baby boutique the owner was talking to me about how I should buy a new organic mattress for my second daughter because the chemicals in mattresses can cause all sorts of yucky stuff in babies including cancer. She kinda scared the crap out of me. So I'm thinking maybe she's right and I should upgrade the crib mattress as well as get an organic mattress for my older daughter when she moves over to a big girl bed, which should be soon. What do you think? Should I go organic? What do you have for your babies?
