Had anyone used, bought or asked the dr if the device is safe for the baby??

I bought one for peace of mind. My doctor also uses one at every appointment. My doctor said the only concerns she has about it is that it is loud and can scare the baby so advised me not to use it for long periods of time.

Yes it's safe. But most doctors will tell you not to buy one because the anxiety they cause when you can't find the heartbeat.
