Ovulation question

New to testing for ovulation as my first child was conceived on honeymoon first month trying ... Now 5 years later and not getting pregnant as quickly as before. Using clear blue digital which says ignore the lines and only read the screen however, I've been testing for 5 days now and the line has gotten increasingly darker , yet test still saying "no LH surge" ... Do you think I am reaching ovulation?
