I am 17. I have finally convinced my mom to get me on birth control but she told me they have to do one of those exams. I have talked to my friends and they said that they didn't have to have one when they got on birth control. My mom says I have to have one but I'm not comfortable at all with it. The reason for getting on birth control is to control my period and if it ever happens to protect me if I do have sex. Do I have to have an exam? Is it my choice or my moms?
