Chances of getting pregnant with IUD?

So, i got an IUD in January. Now that i have one my man wants to stop using condoms. I love him to death! And i don't mind not using them, but i am concerned about the chances of getting pregnant with an IUD.

What are your experiences with this??

I have the mirena and my boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex for a year and a half with it and have had no problems!

I had the Paragard for 2 1/2 years before I had it out and got pregnant with my 20 month old and never used other protection. After my son was born in May I had another Paragard put in in June. Now, 9 months later...I just found out today I'm pregnant. So, it can happen.

It is incredibly rare to get pregnant on an iud, less than 1%. The ones that do are generally IUDs that are placed wrong. In the future I would recommend looking up the facts and not going on what happens to most people. Just because all these women have unprotected sex and have been fine doesn't mean that's the facts. When in doubt call your doctor they can give you the most accurate information.

The chances of getting pregnant are very low. 2 in 10,000 women will get pregnant within the first year of having sex. Very unlikely! I have Skyla and I haven't used condoms since I got it.

I have an IUD and my boyfriend and I never use condoms.  Nothing besides abstinence is 100%, but IUDs are very close. I have only had an IUD 6 months though and before that I was on the pill.
