I've been breastfeeding for almost 4 years now (2 different babies) and have yet to
Have a negative comment about breastfeeding in public. I either get the quick look followed by them walking away quickly, or the stare and reassuring smile. Older women (like 70s or older) love to comment how wonderful it is. I've hada few creepers who circle back a few times hahah I usually find a chair or couch in whatever store I'm in and nurse there. Or baby is in ergo and nurses in that. Now that my baby is 19 months he doesn't nurse in public ever really. But baby 3 will be here in July so it begins all over again.

I don't see what the problem is as long as you are fully covered. My MIL doesn't care and just whips out the boob and feeds her daughter but my FIL prefers her to cover up. And she's got some BIG BOOBS. Like idk her bra size, but she's a hefty woman so I'm sure her bra size is probably like a 46MM. However, I'm a tiny 36C, and I am planning on nursing in public with my nursing bra and a nursing blanket, so that I am fully covered and some people probably won't even notice that I'm breastfeeding. 😊👍🏼

I tried using one of those thin muslin blankets but my baby broke out in heat rash all over his face. So I stopped caring. I try not to just whip it out and I'll use a cover to get situated but then it comes off. I've only ever had one comment and it was from a young guy who called out "yeah mama, you feed that baby" 😃. I'll also try to feed him in the car first before going somewhere so it's a little more private.

Just in case, though, I keep a screenshot of my states laws regarding breastfeeding on my phone. No one is going to make me stop feeding my child.

I'm a SUPER private person, so I don't know that I'd be comfortable with it. Who knows how I'll feel when the baby comes though. Things change when you're actually put in the situation.

I wouldn't mind nursing in public with a cover if it were necessary for us, but baby uses bottles of breastmilk outside of the house. Much more convenient for us lol. Does anyone else do this? Or do people usually strictly nurse??

Yup. Babies should be breastfed on demand. That means it happens when you are out and often unexpectedly. I nurse whenever wherever. I don't use a cover. It's much more awkward for me. I always wear two shirts to keep my belly covered. But I am sure some people have seen some boob. I'm not really worried about it though. It's just feeding a baby. 
And I've never gotten a rude comment.

Even with my first I didn't shy away- I guess it's bc I also had my mom around and she supported me--everyone was very supportive and it just made a big difference. #2 was the same. My son was 7 when she came and at first he was unsure but my hubs and I talked to him and he got to the point where if she was crying he would say just give her the nitty😂 I always use a cover or do the two shirt(cami under a t shirt)
