I have Pcos and my husband cryptozoospermia

About a year ago I was diagnosed with Pcos and was not ovulating. I started clomid and kept on metformin (also have hypothyroidism). I was morbid obese.

In this year I lost 17 kg (about 34 lbs) and all my blood work is normal today! But still didn't get pregnant. So we ask for a sperm studies and the results were not what we expected.

The diagnose is Cryptozoospermia which means he produce almost nothing sperms. The lab couldn't do the motility and morphology test and anything else because the sample was almost empty of sperm (he gave a sample with 6.9 ml)! They only found a few (yes a few, not hundreds) after centrifugal test.

This is a huge punch in the feelings because it means that the only way we can conceive is with IVF. We are waiting to see if the doctor send him more test to discard varicocele or some blocked duct which are the 2 possible things that have solution with surgery.

We are 32 to 33 years old and been together for 5 years. We stoped using birth control pills about 4 years ago and now I'm devastated with all this!

I'm affraid of doing IVF treatment and gain all the weight I lost with a great amount of efford and that give me more pregnancy risks!

I really don't know why I share this but I needed to do it.

Sorry if I didn't write a few things correctly but English is not my first language (I'm from Argentina).

Thanks all of you that read the whole story.
