Anyone else planning on having a water birth?

I'm a FTM and I'm a natural chick all the way. I'm not a fan of doctors as to them it's a business and I don't trust them. I also watched the Business of Being Born and agreed with the video. I have a midwife and am having a at home birth! I'm going to have my son in a birthing pool in his room 💙

I understand people preferring certain things over others but as a nurse practitioner and second time mother and countless in hospital experiences I can say even though it's NOT uncommon for people to dislike hospitals and yes even doctors... I have seen doctors do some very amazing things to save tiny lives. I myself wanted my first birth all natural... But after 14 hours something went wrong and it was a doctor that had to perform surgery on me to save my son's life. So... I'm happy for you and your decision!! Just always remember doctors can be Angels and something you may thank God for someday if one ever has to save your child's life. I wish you luck though!!

I'm planning a water birth at the hospital with a midwife. The hospital I will be delivering at the midwives and Doctors work as a team. So if for some reason I need an OB they will be there and so will my midwife.

I'm having a waterbirth at the birthing center and also have a doula. FTM as well. I just hope i can make it to 37 weeks which is required by the birth center to get into the water.

I'm planning on having a water birth in a midwife led unit 😊 although even if it were in a hospital it would still be with a midwife in the UK. I think it's crazy how different the health care system is! Gl with your birth! 😊

I'm planning a water birth at a birthing center. I'm similar to you - I hate hospitals and doctors. I firmly believe that hospitals are for sick people & we need to stop separating ourselves from what we can do naturally. Good luck to you!

I did a waterbirth for my 2nd and 3rd. This is my 4th and may have to have a csection due to a complete previa that has now moved to low lying.....fingers crossed it moves. But they still wont let me give birth in water with this one because my last was so big and i had a hard time getting her put. She was 9lbs 4oz

I've got a birthing pool for home and if needed I can go 5 minutes down the road to the hospital.  They have a birthing tub too. My midwife is happy either way. Loved the water with my first labour even though I had to get out in the end due to a complication for the last hour.
