Spotting during the first trimester

I am currently 6wks and 1day and have experienced some slight spotting when going to the bathroom, no marks on my underwear only noticable when I wipe.. its light pink in colour should I be concerned? I have been to the hospital to check but as the pregnancy is still early they cant give me any answers. Help?
