Pregnant days before period?

Yesterday I had sex with my boyfriend (Happily going on a year) using the withdrawal method (unreliable and stupid I know). He came a few times, always outside of me, but there is always that possibly he may have not pulled out in time. I am expecting my period within the next week and am wondering how likely is it to become pregnant? Sperm can live up to around 5 days in the body, so if I receive my period within those few days, can I become pregnant as well? Is that even possible? Personal experience is always welcome.
