6 Weeks won't Sleep/ ripping out my hair

My son has reflux but he used to at least sleep. But the last few days he has been progressively staying up longer periods of time. Today is the worst he's been up from 5am in the morning and he went down around 1:30pm and is still squirming around. He did have three to four cat naps but no longer then 10 -15 minutes. Ugh help me- what happened to newborns sleeping all day? anyone else have this problem?
