What to do next? HELP!!!

My son's umbilical cord came off today. I tired to give him a bath to wash the rest out but it didn't work. I do not want him to get an infection so what should I do next?

That's how my sons looked. I bust cleaned it with alcohol pads.

Keep it dry, you can clean it with a little bit of alcohol.

Keep it dry, we used a q tip with alcohol and alcohol wipes to keep drying it out. It oozed slightly and bled a few times... But the alcohol worked. We didn't bathe area until it was completely healed because it scared me

Try to soak some cotton in 70% alcohol and drip it on the belly button. Don't wipe it with cotton, just drip.

Keep it dry so that it will finish healing. My baby's naval took about a week to finish healing. It bled and crusted but eventually healed. Just make sure it's clean and dry and  it will be fine.
