Lay on stomach?

My one month old is REALLY fussy if he lays any other way EXCEPT when you lay him on his stomach. I read about sids and stuff so I know it's not the best but he only really will fall asleep on his stomach . Can anybody relate? Is something wrong with him?

I didn't personally have this issue, but I know MANY moms that did. And stomach sleeping was one of the better fixes for a colicky baby. This is really just what you're comfortable with and also talk to your pediatrician for sure. It most definitely is a SIDS risk, and especially shouldn't be done if your baby doesn't have the ability to move his head from side to side on his own during tummy time or then it's also a suffocation risk. But, talk to your pediatrician and see what she/he says. It sounds like a gas issue though. If you are breastfeeding you may see a big difference in removing dairy and/or nuts. I had to removed dairy for a couple months and then nuts at one point too and it was a night and day difference. Gripe water was also a life saver. Certain brands are not safe for younger babies. I personally used wellements organic gripe water and it worked wonders!
