Need Advice: Unexpected Move and may need to plan a hospital birth
Hi!
I am planning a home birth with my midwife. Where we live now, I am 45 minutes from her.
Our landlord just informed us a few days ago that he is selling our rental home and we have to move on or before May 20th. My due date is June 8th, so we are hoping to move sooner than that and we are hoping to move closer to a big city, Rochester, where my husband is looking for work and where we get groceries. So everything is up in the air and right now we are looking at a place that is closer to the city but much farther from my midwife, 1 1/2 hours away.
We need to.save as much money as possible. Should I just end my care with my midwife and seek a hospital birth? That way we would save Money, I would not have to plan a birth and gather supplies while moving (with a toddler, 3 cats, and fish) and settling down.
I feel like the best decision is to start touring hospitals and switching care but I feel like I'm compromising on my preferred birth.
I just need some advice. Even if you haven't been in this situation. I don't really have any women to turn to and all advice is appreciated.
