Apparently being a waiter is more stressful than being a neurosurgeon

Saw this today on Facebook and couldn't help but laugh. Try 15+ years of education: 4 years of college, medical school, plus 5 years of basic surgical residency and about 3 years of neuro fellowship. Mix that with crippling student loan debt, the fact that the average first year Med student is 27, the tiring political atmosphere in the surgical community, and the pressure to constantly  publish/research/ teach.. Add that to the constant daily stress of SAVING PEOPLES LIVES in risky surgeries that often have bad outcomes, endless clinical rotations, and long case loads that often stretch well into the night.. It's not only one of the most important jobs in the world, it's also one of the most stressful.
