Does birth control make you gain weight?

I want to go on birch control but I've heard it makes you gain weight, but I've also heard that's untrue. Help!

I never have. I think it's mind over matter. People hear that girls gain weight when they're on bc and then girls gain weight because it's in the back of their mind

Mine doesn't directly make me gain weight. But it makes me hungry, so I eat more and that's how I gain the weight. A lot of birth controls will make you hungry.

The only one that def does is the depo shot according to study's. I will say from experience though that I felt like some that I tried did and others didn't. You'll just need to find the right one.
