How do you feel about breastfeeding until the child self weans

With my first born I only breastfed for about two weeks. I felt like I wasn't making enough milk because she was always hungry, my boobs hurt and frankly she slept better on formula(besides I qualified for wicked so cost wasn't a problem). Me and hubby are trying for number two and I want to give breastfeeding another shot and I'm curious as to how you all feel about this.
