How long do babies use 3m clothing and 3-6m clothing?

How long do babies use 3m clothing and 3-6m clothing? Is it pretty much the same thing? How much did your babies weight?

Currently Preg with our 5th.... my smallest was 8lbs even. They all wore 0-3 from birth to about 6 wks. 3-6 lasted until about 4 months. They out grew the 6-9 by 7 months. And we're into 18 months by 10 or 11 months old. Today my 7 yr old wears a size 10, 6 yr old is in 8. 4 yr old is in 6. And 2 yr old in 3T. They all range above the 90th percentile on the WHO charts. 
But my SIL's kids all wore 0-3 until 4 ish months. At 12 months old they were still in 9 month clothes. Her almost 5 yr old only wears 3T. (Our youngest children are 2 yrs apart. And her girl is only about an inch taller)
All children are different. Look to parent size. If parents are tall, children will typically be tall. If short typically babies will be short. Big boned, small bones... kids really do follow after parents. Genes what a wonderful thing.
My best advice as a seasoned Mama... don't buy to many clothes. They do out grow them quickly. You can always buy more if needed when baby reaches that size.

It depends on the size of your baby.  Mine were in 0-3 for about a month before going to the next size.  My youngest daughter is 9.5 months and wears 18 months clothing.

My baby girl was tiny. She wore newborn clothes for over a month and 0-3months until she was almost 6 months. She was 6lbs 11 oz when she was born but dropped down to 5lbs 11oz and took FOREVER to gain it back. She's 2.5 and even now, she can wear 12month size pants... They're just capris on her lol

Anyway, it really just depends on the baby but look at what your birth weight was and what the dad's birth weight was and keep that in mind. I was 5lbs 9oz when I was born so I should have known id have a small baby.

Yeah depends on your baby and the brand. Carters tend to run small but 0-3 does not last long! Maybe a month. I bought a lot clothes for 6 months because they poop throw up etc to you have to change them a lot. I never bought 9 months clothes I went straight for 12 month. it fit a little big the first few weeks but they grow so fast! If you have a girl I bought a lot of dresses and would sew the sleeves and then cut the thread when she grew.

There is literally no telling until baby gets here. Everyone told me newborn sizes last a week so I got none. Then my daughter ended up staying in newborn until she was 4 plus months. She could still wear 6 month clothes at a year and past. There is literally no telling haha
