Suggestions? 6w 2d and brown spotting.

Question

Hello all, panic moment last night when I noticed some spotting when I went to the bathroom after sex. Very minor amount still this morning and throughout today, brown in color. Otherwise I feel fine besides minor cramps which I've had off and on since I found out. I can't get into my doctor until my 8wk appointment and she's 3 hours away anyway (perks of a rural town...). Anyone know if this is normal or something to worry about?? Thank you...

I had the exact symptoms. I called my ONGYN and she told me that it could be several different things and that an ultrasound would be the only way to know for sure what was going on, so she told me to go to the ER (that was pretty lame of her I think). I got an ultrasound at the ER and my baby measured 6 weeks with a healthy heart rate. However, they saw a subchorionic hemorrhage in the ultrasound. They said it caused the bleeding. It usually goes away on its own, however they told me no sex until it goes away. Hope this helps!

This is super common. I have been spotting the whole time I've been pregnant and my doctor said it is not uncommon. In fact, I didn't think I was pregnant when I went to my OBGYN, I was just wondering why I had a spotty period for 3 weeks and felt like I had the flu. Don't worry if it looks like old blood but if it is bright red then be concerned.

I had brown blood until my second trimester because I had missed 2 periods before I got pregnant... Its normal and the only reason you would need to worry is if the blood gets bright red. I had a complete freak out when I saw the brown blood because I thought there was something wrong, and nope... Perfectly healthy at 36 weeks pregnant lol. Don't stress it...

For anyone wondering, I called and spoke to my OB's nurse, and she is having me come in Thurs for some blood work and what not, but didn't seem super concerned (which makes me feel better!). I'll be 7 weeks on Wednesday and fingers crossed all is well.

For anyone curious...I went in today as they wanted to do some early bloodwork. Values show I'm either not as far along as we thought or its not developing properly...back on Monday to see what's going on.

Still have the brown spotting and it's now Monday (started Thursday night)... And still have some cramping but not extreme.. So worried and Dr hasn't called me back yet.

Agree. Had same after Valentine's sex and had black discharge for a few days. Was worried and got to the early pregnancy clinic where they showed me a nice healthy heartbeat and my first ultrasound to take home :-)

Every time I have sex I get some type of brown/pinkish discharge. Sometimes Minor cramps but if I lay down and drink water they go away. Doctor said it's fine. I'm 9weeks

It could be remaining blood from your last period and having sex just caused it to come out. Same thing happened to me around six weeks and my doctor said as long as it's not pink or red in color, along with cramping, you should be fine. :)
