Didn't know I was pregnant! Bootcamp baby!
So two weeks ago I went into the doctor because I was really tired, like way more then usual. I asked if he could run some blood tests to see if I had a deficiency in a vitamin or somthing but the results came back that I was completely healthy. So I also decided to go talk to the nutrianist while I was there because I noticed some weight gain that was super abnormal for me. While I was there she asked me all kinds of questions and then asked if I may be pregnant. In my head there was no way I'd just gotten out of bootcamp and had been using the birth control depo shot since my days in basic and I got the second one on time. When I left however the thought stuck with me so I did some research about the symptoms and found that I had alot of them. So I got two home pregnancy tests..they came back possitive. That was the longest weekend of my life. But monday morning I went into the doctor and told him what happend so he got me in to do more blood work because the last time he didn't check for pregnancy. Wensday was when I had my follow up and found I was pregnant. They told me that based on the HCG levels I was about 6-7weeks. Unfortunately for me that ment two possible fathers..both of which didn't want the baby. Friday rolled around and my nurse called to tell me that the second blood test showed my HCG levels went down and that they were scheduling a semi emergency ultrasound for Monday with the hospital off base (my doctor doesn't have ultrasound equipment). That weekend I went into urgent care because I was really worried. I explained everything to the doctor and he said that decreased HCG means a possible miscarriage or basiclly that I should mentally prepare for one. He gave me a pelvic exam to check if (the sack the baby is in) had broke indicating a miscarriage happening, but he said it was all good. Finally monday rolled around and I had my first ultrasound. I lay down on the bed and the nurse begins and I can't see the screen at this point but she's like "would you like to see your baby?" And I'm like "sure I'm not planning to see much tho since I'm not that far along" that when she's like "well your much further then 6-7 weeks, there's s full baby in here." I can't even express the amount of shock! I instantly started crying when I saw the baby and then the nurse told me I was 23 weeks pregnant. Crazy enough I'd only been at school for almost 3 months. 23 weeks placed the date of conception before I went to bootcamp. That ment that little baby had been through it all. Then I found out she was a girl and seemed to be pretty healthy :) and the real father cant be happier. that's about as caught up as it gets for now.
