My husband and I want to start trying to conceive but our families keep saying we aren't ready. I don't even know why they think that.

We're young. We've been married for over a year. Together 5 years. Met almost a decade ago.

We had one miscarriage two years ago and since then our families have stated and restated their opinions that we shouldn't have kids yet.

All three of his older siblings have kids which we occasionally babysit. And their parents always seem so excited when those'll have more kids.

What's the deal?
