Can someone help me understand?

Okay I took a test and it came up negative. Then I looked at it the next day and it had a slight line. So I took another test came back neg now I'm 2 days late for my period so I did another test and it's still negative!!! I'm so confused

Unfortunately, it's very common for a negative test to dry with what appears to be a faint line. Especially if it's a blue dye test, but no test is immune to getting evap lines once the urine has completely dried. This is why manufacturers urge women not to look at the test once the time limit is up, as it can be very misleading. It's also not uncommon, even for the most regular of women, to have an off cycle every once in awhile... It's just one of those joys of being a woman... Ugh! Chances are, if you're late for your period, but you're still getting negative tests, it's more likely you're just having a wonky cycle, and AF should start pretty soon for you. If a week or more passes tho, and you still haven't gotten your period, it would be wise to make an appointment with your doc, as there are a number of things that can cause a period to go MIA as well. Most likely tho, everything is OK, and your cycle is just off by a couple days.

The positive you got was probably an evap line. You're not supposed to look at tests past 5 minutes or they can give you a false positive. You're stressing over it may be causing your period to be late.
