Getting pregnant after an IUD

Lydia • Working mother of Evelynn, 4, and wife to husband, David
My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child together. I have a child from a previously relationship (whom my husband adopted) after which I then went and had an IUD inserted and had it for 2 and a half years. My doctor suspects (without doing all the formal testing and just preliminary tests) that I have endometriosis formed during the IUD period which is also causing dysmenorrhea. My first child was an oopsie! so this experience has been quite overwhelming because it thought it'd be easier for two healthy 23 yr olds and I'm starting to lose hope. Is anyone else in the same boat? How are you coping? All of my friends (my age and older) are getting pregnant and I feel as though I'm letting my husband down by not being able to give him his first biological child. We've done the sperm testing (which my husband then got put on vitamins) as it was "low normal". I've quit drinking any alcohol, no caffeine or soda, neither of us smoke and I'm eating healthy. Really starting to lose hope.
