Are Mormons "allowed" lol to date and marry outside of religion?

Question

If someone is a practicing Mormon, and I mean a guy who is a missionary and everything. Someone very faithful to their religion.. If they meet someone outside of the religion would they refrain from dating them if they weren't a Mormon too?

Edit: Is it normal for a return missionary to try to find a wife within a year of their return?

I live in Salt Lake City Utah, and actually have met quite a few Mormon guys who would date someone is not LDS. Some will try to teach you/convert you, some are OK with dating you as you are. It's just personal choice. The biggest reason an LDS person would want to marry LDS, is so they can be married in the temple and sealed to each other, and have their children/ families sealed together as well.

According to Mormon rules, they can only date within their religion. But I'm sure it happens all the time. Probably not with someone super devout though, unless you were willing to convert for them.

We can date outside of the church. I'm married to a non member and still active. He has no interest in the church and that's ok! It's a personal choice for me that he supports and I respect his decision to not participate. However, when you say "he's a missionary" is he currently on his mission? If so, than they aren't allowed to date at all. Why not just ask the guy in question how he feels about dating a non member?

It's very frowned upon to marry someone who is not a return missionary, or to date outside of their race unless the person is a convert mormon. As a man it's frowned upon not to go on a mission, and to not marry within a year of your return. 
I used to live in Utah, it very much sucked because over half of the population is Mormon, and they are very judgmental.
