Anyone believe in God while your SO is an atheist? Tell me about it

We just agree to disagree. I go to mass with my son on Sundays and he goes fishing. I also go to mass on Christmas and Easter with my son before going to any family function. We have decided that when our son is old enough he can decide what he wants. If he wants to go fishing with his dad then we will go to mass on Saturdays.
I wish he was the same religion but I cant change him. We have also decided to get married outside where he wishes and then have a very small church wedding with my sister and her husband months or a few years later. He doesn't really want to but knows how important it is for me. And yes I am religious and have had a son out of wedlock, no one is perfect. I am working on it though. 
We have also decided to send our son to private Catholic school. He said it is a good idea for the good education he will get. I also like it so my son can get his sacraments without CCD. 
We make compromises and everyone wins.

Tried it. It didn't work out. Besides... God wants you with someone who is equally yoked. Christ keeps the peace. Believe me on that one...

I am atheist while my wife is religious (Christian). I am from a family of other religious believers so my daughter who is now 11 chooses the Christian belief also. I have no problem with either one of them choosing it. I believe religion can definitely sprout good morals in people. I am just a person of science who acknowledges what can be proven. We may have some discussions about our beliefs or lack thereof but we never argue about it. In fact, I think our relationship is stronger because of our acceptance of beliefs different from our own. It can work if you are willing to have the open mind for it. :)

I'm Baptist and he's Buddhist. We make it work. I'll go to temple with him and let monks throw water on me and he'll bow his head when we pray at church. We have mutual respect.

He's not atheist, he's actually agnostic but it doesn't bother me and it really doesn't affect our relationship. We been together for almost two years and have a daughter with another on the way.

My husband was not a Christian or anything close when we met. I believe though, it is easy to see all these actual crazy religious nut jobs and be turned off by religion. I never brought it up because (I know I will catch a lot of crap for this) I believe that the best spiritual path is just living as best to your true self and doing no harm. He is compassionate, forgiving, and understanding unlike most religious people now days. What's more Christ like than that? He brought it up about wanting to go to Church and started asking questions. Long story short he decided that believing in God wasn't such a far fetched idea. He was baptized and we found an open minded place that actually contributes to the less fortunate and does things in the community. They are open and loving, which, I am so happy because today's Christianity leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. Just love each other despite the differences. The rest will sort itself out. :)

My boyfriend is agnostic and I'm Christian we just rarely talk about our beliefs he respects my faith though it don't really effect our relationship

My fiancé doesn't care one way or the other about religion. He doesn't rly believe but he doesn't not believe either. It's more like he chooses to not think about it, if that makes sense. I am a Christian. We just don't talk about it.

My husband is an agnostic but more atheist and I'm a pagan so.... it can work out. We do introduce our children to different things. When the time is right they can decide 😊
