How to tell if I'm dilated?

Okay so last night I woke up with period like cramps thinking I had to go number 2 and once ide fall back asleep it would happen again..and then this morning when my so and I had sex it hurt but I felt him hitting something?  How can I tell if I'm dilating?

I've had the same pain but have not dilated at all and I'm 41 weeks

Unless you're in labour it really doesn't matter. They'll probably check you at your next appointment and that's about it.

There are ways for your partner to "feel" and see for you. They have directions and info online. I have never tried it, I've always had a doc do it for me. But I hear a lot of people do it.
