Wivetales about boy or girl?

Question

My sister in law says if I have a lot of discharge it's a boy, and if I have none it's a girl. That seems unlikely to me to be able to tell anything, and anyway I haven't had any discharge. What are your thoughts on this? Any other wivestales they say about being able to tell the gender? Honestly we're hoping for a boy.

Everybody is different ive never heard the discharge thing before thats weird. I know alot of people say less morning sickness means boy but thats not true in my family the boys make us sick n the girls give us no symptoms at all. They say higher heart rate means girl lower heart rate means boy if you crave sweets or chocolate its a girl salty n sour means boy i could go on n on there so many old wives tales bout this.

I've never heard the discharge theory. I tried the baking powder gender test and the ring over the belly on a string test and both indicated boy, which is what we found out we're having. The heart rate theory was a little inconsistent. At our 13 week scan it was 171, which would indicate girl according to the theory and at 20 week scan the heart rate was 141, our tech at the second scan said that the heart rate is usually higher earlier in pregnancy, so I don't know how well the heart rate theory is supposed to work very well if that's the case

Also read that bright yellow urine means boy and a duller yellow means girl
(Pretty sure prenatals make ur urine more bright yellow tho, so not sure how correct that will be)

All the wivestales were wrong for me. Don't rely on them. Im having a girl and have discharge everyday. Almost 23 weeks and it's a daily thing.

if its a low heartbeat its a boy, high heartbeat is a girl, mine was 138 and its a girl so that theory is wrong lol
