Single mamas!!

My ex and I don't speak much, here recently not even about our daughter. When I was pregnant, I stressed the fact that refardless of the situation between him and I, would he please be stable and active in our daughters life. (She's 8 weeks) He isn't and it breaks my heart. I see her change from day to day. Her little hands and feet getting bigger, her smiling more, her being more alert and I feel bad for him. He's missing so much! He's 43 so older and I know you can't tell a man what to do so I feel expressing this to him is a lost cause because well ultimately if he wanted to come around he would. But I spoke with him breifly today over text and he didn't ask one time how she was. He hasn't saw her in 2 weeks. How do I find peace in this? How did you other women in the same situation handle this? Words of advice/encouragement.
