Religion and Politics

SRR

Some background on me, I am a church going Christian and before anyone freaks out and tells me why I'm wrong, that's not what this post is about. What it is about is people mixing religion and politics when they should not mixed. To my fellow "Christians", you can't cry this is a Christian nation and then complain about having to pay into welfare. You can't choose who is and isn't deserving of "Christ's love". This is not a Christian nation and it hasn't been a long while. If you are just going to use Christ as an excuse to be selfish you are why people have a problem with our faith. I am so frustrated seeing other people of faith say we are a Christian nation and then minutes later complain that their checks are going to welfare or get excited about "the wall"! I for one welcome paying into state assistance and opening our borders up to others to give them the same opportunities we were born with. I am honestly ashamed of some of the things I've seen supposed Christians say. We were called to help, not judge. The God I believe in doesn't see borders or wealth. He doesn't see sexual orientation, gender, or marital status. What he does see is how you are treating others. Not everyone believes in God and that's okay. I only ask you are going to comment please be respectful in your disagreement of my individual beliefs. Thank You

ADDITIONALLY:

My point being is we are not a Christian nation. Politics and Religion have no place together.
