Silly question considering this is my 3rd pregnancy...

But I'm totally confused because this is my first time being pregnant with my new current OB. He's wonderful! But I keep on forgetting to ask questions before I leave my appointments. I had one today @ 36 + 2 mark and he says to immediately call him and or possibly be checked out at the hospital for "fluid leaking" or any leakage. My question is what kind of leakage would be exceptional to give a ring? Because as far as I know I've been leaking and I assume watery discharge or urine based on smell. And once again my pregnancy brain defeats me and I forgot to mention it today :/ any advice on what is too much or questionable aside from gushing fluid and bloody show which are the obvious for me.
