Anyone think they can feel they are dilated?

Is it possible to feel that your cervix has or is opening e.g dilating? I can feel sharp pain down below for weeks now I really feel like I must be dilated a few cm but don't know if it is possible to feel that. ...

I have been feeling baby's head hitting my cervix(sharp pain when it does), and I lost my mucus plug at 33 weeks. At 34 weeks I had them check me, my cervix is soft but no dilating yet 😩 I have my 36 week check the 16th hoping I have started to dilate.. This is my second baby tho and you definitely can't feel yourself dilate. Even in labor, contractions hurt in lower abdominal region/back but not your vagina.

I do believe you can be in tune enough to feel it, but it is not painful. The actual softening and effacing of your cervix pre-labor won't feel like much. It may be accompanied by Braxton-hicks. The pain you are feeling is likely not that.

I seriously thought I would be dilated... I got checked today, and nothing really he said ! It hurt so bad too I was like pushing myself away and trying to shut my legs. I was getting that lightening pain for weeks and I didn't dilate. He did say he could feel babies head tho

I have had sharp pains in my vagina and it is my cervix stretching so yes I can feel myself dilating. My dr has instructed me to start walking and I can now be safe to go into labor naturally so I am going to start walking to hopefully dilate some more!

Yes. My cervix is dilated 3 cm at 36 weeks. I started dilating at 32 weeks
