Childhood pet
I have been co sidering getting a puppy that will be small/medium size for my daughter after she is born but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. I had a wolf/husky she was going to grow up with but he passed away (he was already grown) and there's 4 other dogs in the house and 2 of them I'm not sure will be ok around her or not. Her dad is getting her her own wolf husky to grow with her and be her companion but the dog won't be born until she is between 6 and 9 months and won't be allowed with her unless we are with him due to my parents dogs being aggressive with large dogs. Would it be best to get a puppy for her or wait for the dog her dad is getting her when she's older and have just that one? The wolf I had was supposed to be her companion because I got him within days or maybe a week or two of getting pregnant and he was very protective of my belly so I'm kinda leaning towards her having the wolf husky with her dad and maybe a husky with me due to them being special to me. I'm just needing opinions to help me decide
